About me

A boy from new Castle
W/ big dreams

Jalen was born in Elkhart, IN, but raised in New Castle, IN by his mother, Martha Hamrick, and grandmother, Majorie Coatie. All he has known was church and from a young age was told that he would one day be a great man of God. From a young age, Jalen had big dreams to make an impact on the world and the community in which he lived.

Jalen graduated from New Castle High School in 2012 where he then went to Indiana State University (ISU). During his time at ISU, he was the President of the gospel choir, Ebony Majestic, served faithfully at Rapture Temple/City Worship Center under Bishop Arnick Shouse Sr., worked for the National Association of Black Social Workers (NASW), and accepted the call into ministry with Church @ISU. He graduated in 2018 with his Bachelor's in Social Work with a minor in African and African American Studies with a focus on music and religion.

Prior to graduation from ISU, Jalen relocated to Indianapolis, IN where he joined Greater Works Cathedral (GWC) under the leadership of Bishop Jonathan D. Mason where he currently serves as the Youth Pastor. He also started J. Malone Ministries, now J. Malone Enterprises, in February 2021 which now houses multiple businesses.

Jalen received his Masters in Social Work from IUPUI in December 2022 with a certification in eSocial Work Practice. He plans to continue to build several businesses to impact the Indianapolis community and abroad while also serving at GWC.
